You’re quite conscious of the danger you face when you’re behind the wheel of your vehicle. Distracted drivers are everywhere, road rage is an issue for some and you never know when someone is simply going to make a foolish mistake that leads to a wreck.

If you want to be safer, stick with a white car
Even though white cars are exceptionally common, they’re statistically 12% less likely to end up in a wreck than black vehicles. In general, yellow, cream and beige vehicles are also far safer than their darker counterparts.
While black cars are most likely to be involved in crashes, gray, silver, blue and red vehicles are also high-risk colors on cars.
Why are some car colors more dangerous than others?
It all comes down to visibility. White, cream, yellow and beige are fairly easy to see against gray or black pavements. They also stick out better in dim light.
By comparison, a black vehicle can be harder to spot until you’re right up on it, and gray, silver and blue cars can be practically invisible in low light. While red is often a bright color, many shades of red on cars are actually closer to maroon or burgundy. Those dark undertones make the vehicles fade from sight.
